Head Over Heels offers a noncompetitive gymnastics program for boys and girls. As we have grown over the last few years, we have been pleasantly surprised at the caliber of athletes Head Over Heels has attracted. Although we will always remain a noncompetitive gym, we wanted to offer a program that was more intensive for those gymnasts who wanted a “little more”. Our CHAMPS program will be a skills-based class for girls ages 5-15 years and will be more rigorous disciplined than our recreational classes. Some 4 year olds may be accepted into the program after instructor assessment. Not every child will be suited for this program. Some basic skill may be required for acceptance into the CHAMPS program. If you have any questions about this program and your child’s placement, please call or email us.
Free Trial Classes and student assessments must be scheduled with the front office. Online registration is not available for the CHAMPS program. To sign up or for questions, contact us today.
FAQ's about our CHAMPS program
- When can I register for this program?
- Registration will be open for the school year season until the last Friday in September. We may open a mid-year enrollment during January but that will be based on program interest. Registration is required for the entire season, NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Why do we have to pay equipment fee?
- Your equipment fee covers the cost of your required uniforms (leotard and tank/shorts), any supplemental equipment needed, and the Dec and May mock competition awards.
- Why is tuition more expensive than the recreational class?
- Your child will be attending TWO, one hour classes each week. One class will concentrate on the gymnastics apparatus and the other day of class will be a tumbling and conditioning class. The student to instructor ratio is much lower than the recreational class which results in each child receiving more individual attention throughout the class.
- Can CHAMPS participants come to the monthly Free Open Gym times?
- Yes! CHAMPS participants are eligible to attend the Free Open Gym which equals a total of 1.5 hours of additional gym time each month at no extra cost.
- What are mock competitions?
- In December and May, each student will participate in a mock competition where they will receive an award metal in December and a trophy in May. Feedback will be given on their progress and performance.
- What uniforms are required?
- When your child comes to their tumbling/conditioning class they will be need to wear the tank and shorts outfit and when attending the apparatus class they are required to wear the CHAMPS leotard.
